Alberta Brown Trout Streams

Recommended Gear:
This is light, delicate fly fishing presentation. It can get technical. We like to focus on one rising trout then another, meaning that done properly you should be able to hook into most of the rising trout lined up in a run rather than just plowing through. We recommend 2 to 5 weight rods with double taper floating lines. Leaders are 10 foot 4X with an added length of 5X tippet. Flies are very variable and we will enclose a packing list upon confirmation of your booking. You will need waders and boots.

Rates:
As you can appreciate due to tough space considerations, we have a limit of 2 anglers per guide on brown trout streams and spring creeks. Guide Rate is per guide day for 1 or 2 anglers and includes lunch, fly fishing guide, some gear (you must indicate a need for gear prior to your trip so that we can ensure you are properly outfitted). Flies are available from the guides for a nominal fee.      $500 (Canadian)

Location
We recommend that fly anglers fly to the city of Calgary to enjoy spring creek fly fishing. From the international airport in Calgary, we suggest renting a car and traveling north to the Red Deer area. There are direct flights from many US airports making Calgary an ideal air destination. We will help you upon booking to co-ordinate travel to the Red Deer / Rocky Mountain House area.

Booking Policy
We do book up during the season, though we may have openings throughout the season that allow us to be available on very short notice, though not always possible as we like to have the booking in advance.

As such, we require that 50% of the value of your trip be sent as a deposit 1 month prior to your trip.

Cancellations 1 month in advance will have their money applied to another trip within 1 calendar year.

Cancellations received less than 1 month from the date of trip will have their deposits forfeited to the company.

We reserve the right to determine fishing locations should water conditions vary from stream to stream.
